BATTLE OF CABLE STREET

The Battle of Cable Street took place on Sunday October 4, 1936, in the area of London called the East End. It was a clash between the police, who were guarding a legal march of the British Union of Fascists Party, and on the other hand various anti-fascists including local Jews, socialists, anarchists, irlanders and communist militants.
